What we do

One Partner for the Whole Shipment

As a freight forwarding company in Dubai, Vortex Shipping LLC arranges the movement of commercial cargo from collection through to final delivery. That means selecting the route and carrier, booking the space, preparing every document, coordinating customs and staying accountable until the cargo arrives.

What separates us from most forwarders is that we do not only arrange freight. We operate our own container vessels and, through our sister company Khan Baba Cargo Transport, run a fleet of 60 owned trucks. That gives us space and schedule control that brokers cannot offer.

Our clients are traders, wholesalers, manufacturers and project contractors moving regular commercial volumes — not one-off consignments.

Frequently asked

Freight Forwarding Questions

What does a freight forwarding company actually do?

It takes responsibility for moving your cargo from origin to destination — selecting the carrier and route, booking space, preparing documentation, coordinating customs and handling problems in transit. You deal with one company instead of a carrier, a broker, a trucker and a warehouse separately.

How is Vortex different from other Dubai forwarders?

We operate our own container vessels and our sister company runs 60 owned trucks. Most forwarders broker every leg. Owning capacity means we can hold space and control schedules when the market tightens.

Do you handle both exports and imports?

Yes. The majority of our volume moves outbound from the UAE, but we also handle inbound cargo from China, India, Europe and the Americas including supplier collection and clearance at Jebel Ali.

What information do you need to quote?

Origin and destination, commodity, gross weight, volume or dimensions, and the date cargo is ready. For air freight, exact carton dimensions matter because billing is on chargeable weight.

Can you handle dangerous goods?

Yes. DG cargo is a core capability, with Class 2 and Class 5 as our main competence, handled under full IMDG compliance.
